SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 1 SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Safari life begins. Depart at 0715 driving north into
plush Kikuyu farmlands and the Aberdare Ranges. Rest halt
at “The Equator” in Nanyuki. Proceed further north into
what is known as “the last frontier,” watching the landscape
change from rolling hills and plains into semi arid savannah.
Arrive at the lodge by 1300. Lunch. Early afternoon at
leisure, game viewing drive at 1600, return to the lodge
by 1845. Dinner and overnight. FB.
DAY 2 SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Game drive 0630, return to the lodge by 0900 for breakfast.
Day at leisure. Afternoon game viewing run at 1600. Return
by 1845. Dinner and overnight. FB.
DAY 3 ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
Game drive 0630, return to the lodge by 0900 for breakfast.
Depart at 0945, back tracking this time to the Aberdare
Country Club, set on the outskirts of Nyeri town, a former
stronghold of the British Empire. Arrive by 1300, in time
for an old English style lunch prepared from fresh farm
ingredients. Transfer at 1430 to The Ark, perched high
in the misty Aberdare Moorlands, home to what is locally
referred to as “nyumba ya doa,” the leopard’s lair. Arrive
by 1515, resot of afternoon and evening at leisure, the
“treehotel” stands on wooden stilts overlooking a waterhole
from which animals can be viewed throughout the day and
night (the waterhole is lit by powerful spotlights strategically
positioned). Dinner and overnight. FB.
DAY 4 LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at 0730, transfer to the base club at Mweiga,
arrive by 0845, depart by 0900 to to the floor of the
Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, what is known as the
greatest ornithological spectacle - the shimmering pink
hue of the lake, owing to the large population of flamingoes
resident in the lake, some on a “little break” on their
migratory path from Lake Baringo in the north to Lake
Natron in the south. Arrive at the lodge vide Nyahuru
Falls, another Equator point, by 1130, time at leisure.
Lunch at 1230, early afternoon at leisure, afternoon game
viewing run at 1600. The park is home to lions, baboon,
zebras, buffaloes, the white rhino, leopards, topis, antelopes
and other plains game. Return by 1845. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Breakfast at 0700, depart at 0730 for Masai Mara, driving
east this time to what has been aptly dubbed as the “ultimate
game viewing destination in the world,” home to the largest
wildebeest migration across two countries. Descend into
the Great Rift Valley, breif rest halt at Narok town,
proceed further south arrive at the lodge by 1330. Lunch.
Afternoon game viewing drive at 1600, return by 1845.
Dinner and overnight. FB.
DAY 6 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Early morning game viewing run at 0630 (optional Balloon
Safari with Champagne Breakfast, additional amount), return
for breakfast by 0900. Day at leisure. Afternoon game
viewing run at 1600. Return by 1845. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 NAIROBI / HOMEWARD BOUND
Game drive 0630, return to the lodge by 0900 for breakfast.
Depart at 0945 for Nairobi, arrive by 1500 to connect
onward to your next safari program or your flight home
with memories of Africa to cherish.
